...but I've got a question about belt size. What do most of you people wear? I just measured one of mine (not an actual gun holster belt, but it's pretty stiff, just to tie me over until I can order something) and it's 1.25". I thought this might be small, but I was looking at most of my pants, and I don't think anything bigger will fit through most of them. Do you guys buy your pants around your belt width or belt width around your pants? What width do you wear? Thanks :bigthumb:

I have a 1.5" Aker. It fits all my pants no problems. I think going to 1.75 might be a bit too much, but 1.5" is just about perfect IMO :o

1.5" but on some slacks it can be a pretty tight fit and might even look odd if you have a tucked in shirt.

1.5 as well, and 4 sizes larger than pant size.

    Why the Ctac over Mtac?

Get the MTAC and an Aker B21 in 1.5inch about 2 sizes bigger than your waist. 1.5 should fit in most any normal pants.

I second this, since its what I have, but I highly recommend going 4" bigger instead of 2".

I made the mistake of only going 2" bigger with my first B21, and I could barely get the last hole to fit, I had to squeeze really hard.
4" larger and it fits great.

I forgot to order a little bigger when I got my first b21 and it hurt to wear it on the last hole. I sent it back :o

I also went 4" bigger. I'm a 33" waist or so, I wear 34" pants. I got a 36" aker belt and I was on the last notch in it when I had my gun on, 2nd to last with no gun. Sent it back to Galls for a 38" no questions asked.

At the time I was on the middle (3rd) notch with the 38" belt with the gun on. 4th notch without. Now I'm on the 4th notch with the gun on, last without. If I have too much shit in my pockets or I'm doing a lot of walking I have to crank it down to the 5th notch with the gun on. I don't have an ass at all, so I have nothing to hold my pants up :o It gets kind of annoying.

I called the guy at comp tac and talked with him for a good while about holsters and my needs. He recommended I go with the ctac. Carry gun will be a Kahr P9 and he basically said the mtac is too much holster for a gun that size (among other things).

Edit: By the way, he was more than happy to talk with me...awesome guy to work with so far.
