I previously had a 350D, but returned it thinking that the price would drop dramatically soon (purchased the kit for 1g @costco). so i've decided now that i'm gonna pick up a d50 with the 18-55 DX kit lens, and it's at a nice price, little over 500, really can't say no to that after i sell my P&S canon. :wiggle:

wow, I would have stayed with the 350d. and being a Nikon whore, that says a lot about the d50.

    so guys

i've been looking around for a d70 lately, and i've found some with the 18-70 lens (or is it 17-80?), the kit lens, for around 750 (2 yrs old... not sure if i want something already out of warranty). i feel like it's kind of a big jump, at least 200 more than a d50 outfit, and especially for a camera that's a couple years old. i've seen that the major diff is one step in shutter speed at the high end, d50 has a somewhat improved sensor for noise, the second dial, what else?

i would love to pick up a d70s kit for 750 or so used, but i can't find much available.

also gotta pass out some  to nikon, i used a d70 for a few hours after i had my 350d, and it felt pretty damn diff in terms of shutter lag, feel, etc. can't wait to get snapping again
