I'm about to get some new gear, and I thought I'd consult the gurus and see what you all think.

    I currently have...

    Clarion HU (old, basic)
Alpine front splits, one of the woofers has a hole in it - woot!
Alpine Sub (12" ZR SVC 300wrms)
Alpine MRV-F405 (4x50wrms amp) running the front splits from two channels, and the sub from the other two bridged.

    I'm getting...

    Alpine CDA-9827 MP3/WMA HU
    Alpine SPR-176A TypeR splits
    Kenwood 7201 2ch Amp (bridged to run amp - does 430wrms @ 4ohm)

Next, and final purchase before completeion will be a new sub, probably either a alpine 12" type R SWR-1221D (DVC) or a Rockford Fosgate P312D4...

    your thoughts?

anyone know of any gayness in said gear?

Based on what I've heard of previous RF subs...I'd go with the Type R. Other than that...maybe a different amp, never been a big fan of Kenwood amps but thats just me.

Are you going to bridge the MRV-F504 to 2 channels to run the comp set?

i can either bridge them (it is a 4x50wrms amp, and 50wrms peak splits) or, i can use one channel each, and run my rear dodgy pioneer 3-way coax's off the other two...

    not sure...
