If I buy a normal mouse to use with an iMac, am I able to program the right-click button to do things like I would expect with Windows? How about with Firefox? Does the wheel-click open links in new tabs, etc?

no programming needed, it will work out of the box, though any USB mouse with mac drivers (most of them these days) will allow you to program the buttons like your windows mouse.

Middle clicking doesn't seem to work in Firefox :wtc:

Works in Safari and Camino though :hs:

It's a shame they don't package a two-button mouse, or at least, give you an option for that.
