i am going to start shopping for one soon, they are ~400 on the classicarms.us website, is that pretty much about what they go for most anywhere?

The price on those WASR-10's at classic arms is downright fantastic....

yeah i highly regret not buying one while i was over there, even though i couldn't bring it back, just to fuck around with and give to a random kid upon leaving

.... ok ... so, what would you reccomend? two of the guns on the page you linked are WASRs, a few others only accept 10rd mags, and the rest are not the style i'm looking for (wood)

what do you want to spend?

i don't need to get the absolute top of the line here, but money is not my primary concern... its not that i don't care how much i spend, its more that i am willing to spend what it costs to get a decent weapon. skimping on quality for a firearm to save a few bucks is one of those things that is just dumb... i don't want to just buy one to say i own an AK, i want something that will work well. however, i was under the impression that the AK-47 was by deisign one of the most durable and reliable guns in the history of the world, so i assumed that there was not much variance between models...

so hence this thread, how much should i be looking to pay? apparently i should not be looking to pay ~400 for a WASR from classic arms because they are a shitty rifle... so what should i get instead?

wasr's really arent that bad, other options will be more accurate. I like Yugoslavian and Romanian AK's

My WASR functions like I expect an AK to. Don't have any experience with other AKs.
