I'm sure this has been discussed before, but what's The Closet's take on abortion?

Strongly against it here, except for cases of rape/welfare of the mother. Recently had a heated debated about it at work (none of my co-workers are pro-life :ugh:).

not my decision to make, I feel it is up to the mothers to make the right choice

I wouldn't even begin to understand what it would be like to make that decision, and since I can never really understand I don't feel it is my place

I have seen a lot in my life (abuse) and I know some kids would be better off not having to deal with being unloved

that being said, this is a troll/bait question, I will not debate in this thread because I know how these things work

You asked my opinion and I gave it, you will not change my mind, and I certainly know I am not going to change yours.

I am sorry you debated it with your friends, that is probably not conducive with a good friendship. I try to avoid politics and religion with my friends.

I can tell by the ugh face that you feel people should agree with you. Fact is some never will.

I feel if the girl/woman was raped or life of the mother was at risk then it should be allowed. Otherwise you laid down and took that chance on something like this happening so suck it up and take care of your responsibility!!!

i just also think there should be more social work involved to examine the mother's reasoning to abort.

My aunt died because she did not abort, even though she knew there was a high risk of death. Her and her baby died when the day came. I think you can see what's my take on the issue.

To further clarify it, I'll say that I'm never going to be a mother, and even though I think abortion is something that should not be taken lightly, just because someone doesn't want to have a baby, I still think it's the mother's decision. I believe I have no right to judge that.

If you don't believe in abortion don't have one. Leave everyone else alone.

I don't like my neighbors home-schooling their kid, but I don't think we should pass a law banning it (and I would vote against it if it came up). Why can't people just treat abortion the same way?

Oh yeah........THE CHILDREN! WON'T SOMEONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!?!?!

Sorry I was more concerned with the fact that it's wrong to kill another human:bigthumb: especially because some bitch wasn't on the pill or some douche didn't want to wrap it.

Sigh. never mind. already argued about it with someone else not going to do it here :big grin:

    edit: changed my mind.

first stage of pregnancy is a zygote. single cell that contains the dna from the parents that determine everything about the child. it's not going to grow up to be a flower. it's not going to grow up to be a tiger. it's human cells with human genes. aka a human.

Yes, because unwanted pregnancies never occur through rape or incest or any situation like that.

Thank you for clarifying that. :bigthumb:

its a fucking fetus not a human being. It cannot survive on its own without the hosts nutrients and support, it cannot think, it does not have logic, or morals. It is a growing fetus that yes, one day, it will grow INTO a human being. At such an early stage it is NOT a human, it is a fetus. Theres a difference between aborting at 7 months and 3-4 even 5 months. So do you consider an egg a chicken then?

Either way, its not your fucking place to tell anyone else what the fuck to do, what to believe, or how to live their life. FUCK OFF AND SUCK MY FUCKING DICK! :yum:

your post applies to babies as well as fetuses - they can't do any of that stuff either... but it is illegal to kill a baby....
