FN recently dropped AAC as their suppressor supplier and this is what the guy on ARFCOM posted (SF = Surefire):

I have the PDF of the lawsuit but I'm too lazy to find a host and post it. AAC is suing for $200,000 for 'loss of good will and damage to Plaintiff's reputation..."

Like, what is it with suppressor mfgs. A bunch of whiny bitches. Gemtech whines about AAC, AAC whines about LaRue, it's like the whole industry is full of 15 year old girls.

My next can is from SWR, haven't seen too much bitching from them....and I like the spectre.

How long ago did this happen? Is it recent? I don't even bother looking at the suppressor forum over there anymore.

By the way, LaRue and Fingar are the origin of more shit in that industry than all the other companies combined. Gemtech has now started getting into bitch fits, and it has made a negative impact on internet opinion.

That said, for most, if not all, silencer companies, there are a lot of sales generated by the attention gained in silencer-related discussion on the internet. However, the main bulk of customers don't pay any attention to that crap. Think about it. There are only so many people that read and post on the silencer boards. But there are FAR more silencer owners. In reality, the boards affect only a small portion of the customer base.

I just read the thing. I don't know if anything will come of it, but seriously, if you did that to another company on a related forum, the same might happen. For instance, Coke might sue Coke Zero for taste infringement.

Just kidding. Really, though, if you went on TV and said something similar about a contract and dissatisfaction between, say...GM and the US Government over vehicles provided through a contract, GM might slap your ass down if what you said was not true. It would be widely seen and heard by customers, both civilian and government, would potentially damage the brand and sales. People discount it because it's an internet forum. Most people know that half of what you read is false. But the other half believe it, making false statements potentially harmful. If those statements were false, there is a case.

I would say that this is surprising...... but given the two parties involved, not so much. Both make decent products, but both need to spend more time in the shop, and away from the keyboard/phone.

The lack of professionalism is ridiculous.
