since there's no guarantee i'd go to a Ranger BN....

I have no motivation ever to go to Ranger school, unless it's "highly encouraged" by my CDR.

why would you not want to go? it would seperate you from your peers and give you a really good shot at getting to e6 faster then anyone else. with that attitude no one will ever send you.

exactly...If I were to pursue and earn the tab...i would want to lead those who have earned the tab. Odds of that happening are slim to none...so many tabbers running amok that have never seen time in a Ranger BN, it's ridiculous.

maybe if u get ur tab u'll become a better leader by being able to pass on ur tabbyness skillz to the non tabbers that u lead? u can always kick ass at ranger skool and they will maybe offer u a chance to go to a ranger BN. happed to my lt. friend but he turned it down.
