A very simple way to make your protein shake work better

    Chew a piece of gum about 5 minutes before drinking it. Keep chewing the gum for at least 5 more minutes after your done with it.

    Let me explain it a little better. When you workout your SNS is on fire. When you are eating your PSNS is bo$$. So digestion starts in the mouth, right? There is more truth to that than just salivary amylase breaking down carbs. The act of chewing stimulates the vagus nerve which causes your body to ready the gastric enzymes for the digestion of a meal. When you are drinking a protein shake it puts a great amount of stress on your digestive tract because you are forcing it to digest something as complex as protein very very quickly. Difficulties occur and you end up getting less of the amino acids in your blood stream and more in your toilet.

    well i keep my buttplug in for 5 hours after lifting, so nothing comes out

    I never claimed to unlock anything. I'm just sharing an idea that I had that helped me avoid stomach irritation, gas and diarrhea.

    Also many of these "tricks" such as adding extra leucine to a PWO shake or sipping BCAA's during your work out, all have marginal effects on ones physiology. But all the "tricks" compounded make up part of the difference between someone who is in average shape and someone who is in great shape.

    during training? i donno...i bought the 1fast400 brand of bcaas a while ago and i still haven't used them because they wouldnt mix...but i finally found out how ot mix them

    There is no limit to how much can be taken. It is protein after all. Studies show benefits with as little as 4 grams during your workout, but people our size can use about 15 grams or so. I take 4 scoops of Xtend which comes out to about 14 grams of BCAA's.

    el es dee, sometimes i drink 20-30g of protein before my w/o if I'm low on food for the day.. will this stop my stomach from hurting during lifting?
