I'm basically a newbie to the whole A/V home entertainment thing, and I'm setting up my quite basic system that includes a 32" JVC TV, pretty good (imho) yamaha Dolby/DTS receiver, PS2/DVD player, SATV receiver, and 2 Klipsch tower speakers.

I'm looking into what cables I will be buying to get all set up and I have a few questions. I am going to run all my video directly to the TV - S-video for the SATV and compnent for the PS2. I will be running the SATV and PS2 audio to the TV first and then from the TV to the Yamaha receiver because I want to be able to get audio from the TV alone and from the klipsch speakers for movies/games/etc.

Does anyone see any major flaws with this approach?

Are Monster cables really THAT much better than, say, Acoustic Research? I've been looking and the Monster cables are like TWICE the price. Is that justied?

    Thanks in advance!
