A&P A try at something new..

    I've never done photo journal stuff so i thought i might give it a try when i heard the air evac land in the parking lot next door...

    let me know what you think.. Nothing but resizes.

    there was honestly nothing in those photos that makes them stand out or look like anything other than something a p&s could take. im not saying their bad, but they aren't anything to shake a stick at.

    well how could i have made them better? Like i said, its nothing that i have ever done before and wasn't really sure how to aproach the situation.

    I would try and get closer to the action so you can avoid the telephoto feel. It makes us feel disconnected from the story.

    the time of day (except for the helicopter) wasn't great and you don't have much of a subject matter. start with the basics to get an understanding of subjects.

    How did the person get injured,
    Did the ambulance or the helicopter take them away.
    The shots realy didn't tell me anything except that you were there, and that is not the story.
    Photo journalism is hard, if I am dumb and can't figure out the story or be engaged by it then the onus falls to you to make the story clearer.
    Three or four shots that tell a simple story are worth more than a hundred shots that you take just because you were there.
    Thanks for the post, keep shooting but don't start chasing ambulances.

    haha, sorry i used the wrong batch action in photoshop.

    The person was injured in a car crash. She was rushed to the mall in an abulance so that the air evac could take her away.. Which you can see in the pics..
