I'm gonna continue from where I just posted in this (http://forums.offtopic.com/showthread.php?t=1798332) thread. Me = OTHub (it's cool, that AE is cleared w/ Faz).

Anyway, as I posted in that thread, I'm currently 6'2", 230 pounds. I'm looking to loose 30+lbs, in such a manner that it will - with regular maintenance - stay off.

I'm considering taking something like Hydroxycut, or Lipo-6. What are your experiences with these products, of course combined with a good exercise routine? Is the difference (w/ or w/o) negligible?

TIA for your USEFUL and EDUCATIONAL response.

I've heard good things about Lipo-6 especially when combined with ephedra (taken seperately). In Canada its one of the few ways to get yohimbine though that shouldn't be a problem where you're from.

Hydroxycut on the other hand isn't anything special but just costs alot.

supplements will help as long as you pave a good foundation. Diet = #1 when it comes to losing weight. You don't even have to be "in shape".

I went from 205 on July 4th to 183 (while quitting smoking, people usually put on weight) as of yesterday just hiking once or twice a week and just eating healthy small meals. Supplements are no excuse to slack. They work well when you do your part. If you rely to much on supplements then you end up wasting money as they accomplish nothing at all without proper diet.
