  1. What kind of school will train you how to intall car audio products & alarms like the pros @ Circuit City, Good Guys, etc.? I want to add that to my future interest. How much & where can you attend a workshop?

I've heard of the National Academy of Mobile Electronics (NAME). They've published how-to videos for various car audio projects like kickpanels, custom door panels, etc. etc.

Acoustic Edge is another place. I think they are located in OK.

I believe you can get MECP certified through the mail. Acoustic Edge and Installer's Institute have 4-5 week courses of which the first week is MECP certification followed by intensive training. Fishman's training is similar, but more intensive I believe.

I would go to one of those courses, but I'm still fucked over paying back a loan for a 2 year tech school.

  13. Are all MECP certification training books (to study for the MECP certification test) found in the library? Or do I have to purchase them?
