I'm going to try and get my car done for this event but if not I'll probably attempt to bring some sort of drag/race car there. I know a few of my friends are showing up in their 996's so this is definately set to be a good show.

That is true in a straight line, but throw that Supra a curve and whoops... off into the woods. Remember, power is nothing with out controll.

Now I know nothing about that car, so it may very well have been neglected in the suspension department.

But if you've made that comment blindly on the assumption that Supras (or Japanese cars in general, as I felt that your comment was addressing) don't handle well or can't be made to handle well, you're just showing how ignorant you are.

My japanese car will out power, out brake, out corner and out handle ANY European car this side of $150,000.

Power and handling are NOT mutually exclusive traits of an automobile.

So just because this is the Euro forum, that means that we should blindly walk this earth thinking that European cars are the be-all and end-all of cars? That's the kind of attitude that makes you look like a stuck-up wanker and make people hate you my friend :bigthumb:

Being an owner of both the Japanese and Euro cars, bought and paid for myself, I know both sides of the story. I know what they can and can't do. But you're right, this is the Euro forum, and as accept when people harp on about how fast and wonderful their A4 1.8T is. But when people make utterly ridiculous comments like Japanese cars can't handle well, that can't go unanswered.

If you actually bothered to read my post, I didn't "trash euro", I was merely stating a fact, in that thinking that European cars outhandle Japanese cars, and thinking that Japanese cars will find their way into a ditch as soon as they turn the steering wheel is a completely ignorant and incorrect view on Japanese cars.

And thanks for the offer of going to the Jap forum, but I'll post anywhere I fucking want :bigthumb:
