So very recently I purchased the GeCube 1950xtx and I gotta say it's a great card, when its not crashing. I know a lot of people have problems with these cards but my story is a bit different.

Basically, the problem is that under extreme load my monitor will go to black and display "No Input Signal."

Initially I thought this could be due to power supply issues or actual install issues. So, I wiped the drivers clean reinstalled/reseated the card and it still was having the same problem.

So, I upgraded my PSU to a 600 watt with 24a on the 12v rail. Same problem.

Toggled all the settings recommended by ATI. Again, Same problem.

Got a replacement card, installed. Once again, Same problem, isn't this fun?

Finally, as of an hour ago, I purchased a 550 watt psu with a combined 12v (dual 12v rail) of 34 fucking amps. Thats almost ten more then what I should need. AND THE SAME PROBLEM.

If anyone can shed any sort of light on this I would sex them repeatedly. Thanks

CLIFFS: Bought gecube 1950xtx. Upgraded to over the top psu/got new card/toggled all settings and still crashes.

It would seem like I couldn't be so unlucky that I got two bad cards though...

Try a different monitor? If it's an LCD, try DVI and VGA?

I don't like ATi after the crappy customer service they gave me, I would return the card as faulty and get an nVidia one if possible.

The problem with that is I'm past a cash back from newegg. I can only get RMA replacements. Which doesn't help much.

Looks like its time to go buy Nvidia in store and return it with the 1950xtsuckx in the box instead.

I didn't know you had so many personalities, Jolly.

Have you even used an ATi card since AMD took them over? The drivers are a lot better now; cards that never worked right in my family's machines suddenly do.
