Was at the White Sands National Monument in New Mexico a couple days ago. It had just rained so the sand was easy to ride on and I got this picture:

Just checking in, still on my way back from the OT meat in Houston :bigthumb:

Phoenix = way fuckin hot... like 116 or so... my XM roady 2 on the bike overheated and shut down every couple of minutes... And I had to keep spraying myself with my camelbak.

But Sedona is amazing... weather is great, going to be 75-85 tomorrow then some rain in the afternoon. Going on a 7am jeep tour. Housing is $$$$ here as well as everything else :o

    Look @ the EXIF...

I had the camera on a tripod with a towel over it to protect from rain, and the lens hood... Then I got it setup for ISO 100 multiple second exposures and locked the shutter with the remote so it took a picture every couple of seconds. There was a bunch of lightning and I lucked out with some good pics.

    impressive.

i just figured that to catch that lightning you'd be useing a super long exposure rather than multiple short exposures
