Disappointed in your progress? Well, it's the person who trains the smartest who'll last the longest, and in time your day will come. The road is never easy and it may take a few years to put ten pounds on your bench if you've been training for awhile. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it. This isn't an easy game for anyone, even the guys who progress quickly. This is because it all slows down in time. If you can't handle it, then try the Stairmaster and stay the hell out of the weightroom! The rest of us have work to do and don't need your negative ass in the way.
    - Dave Tate

This quote is even more true for people that have been around for a while and those that train at private gyms

BTW great quote. I've put 180lbs on my squat, 210lbs on my deadlift, and 100lbs on my bench in a year. And I've noticed the weights are not adding as quickly as they used to. I'm still making progress though and that's all that counts.

Great quote. Reminds me of the humility you need to have if you're going to survive without injury. I find myself continuously pulling weight back off and watching my movements and form, to perfect that first. My ego would hurt, but I work out at a college gym, so most of the guys are lined up at the bench. Meanwhile, my squats are getting stronger.
