A few shots from today v. ice, snow & some birds and stuff

Some of them could be considered a bit boring I know, but I just felt a big need of going out and take photos. C&C is welcomed.

I like a few of them composition and subject wise; however, what really stands out for me is the PP. I like the film/aged look.

I know, I did straighten up 7 but when I saved it I lost quality for some reason, so I had to resize it and save it again and forgot to straigten it up.

#2 is angled, to me, for no apparent reason other than to make it look cool.

So ricer angles = more straight and less angled shots?

    Sorry I'm Swedish :o

ricer angles: taking pictures of your honda with the horizon line titled to make it look more aggressive.

Kind of like putting a big spoiler on a honda to make it look like it goes fast....

I really like some of your post work, and some I downright loathe.

I really want your ice shots to have a nice cool blue hue to them, but #1 has a greenish hue, and #3 is that crazy orange color... Kind of like a sunset, but waaay too saturated... almost looks like frozen orange kool-aid...

    I like 7, 9 and 10 the best.

lol, got it. So I did right on like 1 & 2 when I angled it like that to make it more dramatic?

It's my first time trying out those 600 presets http://digitalfreak.net/2008/12/22/lightroom-600-free-presets-to-download/

    Something like this?

I definitely prefer that to your first edit, but i still have some issues with it... You're not going to get 100% with a preset. With this one, the dark areas block up too fast, so you get some areas that should move to black gradually, but go from having detail to 0 detail in a very harsh manner. I guess this is what the preset means by 'edgy'....

Yeah I see what you mean. Man, I only do photographing for fun on my freetime but I starting to realize that it takes a lot of effort and time if you want it to be really good (or maybe that's only if you suck at it, lol).
