    Not people passing it off as their own, but vendors in the past have used my images commercially.

    If it was an uphil strip, then people and poles and other vertical structures would be vertical, and they aren't.

  12. position the watermark somewhere else, also what's the point of having a watermark if you cant' tell wtf it says......

    if he's worried about someone taking his pictures and claiming them for their own, it makes sense to put a watermark over a place where it'd be difficult (or not worth it) to even try to clone it out.

    and watermarks like that aren't usually for advertising the site as much as claiming ownership of the image(s)
