where should I get MDF particle board for making sub enclosures?

    also

what does this mean for reccomended sealed enclosures:

    1 cubic foot Qtc .7 F3 40Hz F10 24Hz
    3 cubic foot Qtc .55 F3 39Hz F10 20Hz

Home Depot usually has MDF. They also have particle board. I would suggest using MDF though.

The Qtc is the amount of damping a speaker system has. The lower the Qtc, the less of a "knee" you have in the frequency response curve around the system resonance, and so it rolls off smoother.

That is shown by the F3 and F10 figures. As you can see, the woofer system that has the lower Qtc also has lower F3 and F10 figures. The F3 is the point where the output has dropped to 3dB below unity (the 0dB point) and the F10, 10dB below unity.

If that explaination doesnt make sense, a frequency response chart might be more helpfull, let me know if you need one illustrating the difference.
