I like the colors in #1 but I'm a fan of the straight on approach to dock shots :dunno:

I think #2 could use a few bumps in brightness and contrast and a better crop

    not feeling #3

I like this one but I'd probably like it better if either the dock were straight (i.e. a squat down when you took the shot) or the horizon was straight....one of these two you can do in PP :hsugh:

I really like #5, maybe a small push up in the blacks would be all I would do, but photography is subjective :bigthumb:

    Thanks for the comments.

I didn't do a straight on approach for 1 because I didn't want anybody in the frame and there were lots of swimmers/tourists around. Had to frame it that way to get the "empty" shot. I still like it though :dunno:

How would you crop 2 differently? I like how wide it is since she's the only one on the beach and how she's staring off at the lone sailboat.

Agree on 3, I think it's kinda boring but I think I just liked how I was able to fit the WHOLE palm tree in the frame when standing right next to it. I'm new to the UWA lenses and I'm addicted.

I'd bring up the bottom to her feet and bring in the right side a little putting her in the corner of the frame. The way she's looking off to the left still gives a line to follow in the frame, might try B&W too :dunno:

PP'd a little but pretty minimally. I've been amazed w/the colors out of the tokie. Absolutely stunning lens.

For the water shots I bumped up the contrast and the blues a little, but nothing crazy. The sunset picture I only clone stamped out a flare spot on the cactus.

What preset did you use for 2? She'd love how tan it makes her look.

#1 would be ok if it was composed better. Try to avoid taking pictures from eye level. Makes for snapshotty pics.

4 is a good candidate for a pseudo HDR. (adjust EV in pshop and save versions.)

Quick and dirty with some distortions, but you get the idea.

this one needed some fill flash, the tree is underexposed. sharpened as well...was pretty soft.

you really need to learn to PP better, the fill light and blacks sliders are really effective here, I went ahead and made something for you to start with, and go from there.

    thanks, guys.

honestly though, I think your originals are the best ones posted so far, the PP'd ones here don't do it for me.
