Was driving home from a friends place the other night and it got foggy, which made for some really slick lighting so I figured I'd go grab some pics. All shot with the D30 and the 50mm 1.8. A couple are quick HDR merges that turned out half-decently (but I need more practice doing them. First try with long exposures). 2 was an experiment - done by overexposing, shooting with tweaked white balance and blasting the tracks with my flash mid exposure. And, yeah

The 50's sharpness never fails to impress me but damn it flares sometimes, on red in particular :o

Thoughts and/or suggestions (other than chopping out some flare in couple) :hsd:

I'm just that damn good :mamoru: I don't live in LA proper...I live in Culver City. Basically, LA and most areas east thereof are less than spectacular most of the time. West, things get nicer, generally. When it's a clearish night with fog in the outlying areas to pick up light though, even the LA river looks nice.

edit: 100% png crops, one light, one dark.
