Good idea, I like it. I like how it reduces it down to form :bigok:

I think a different crop may work better though.

looks like the saturation might be too much :dunno:

they seem to lack sharpness, the pedals (especially in #3 and #4 look like they are all connected)

hmm, i guess saturation may be up a bit more than it should be, but I don't think it's overdone by all means, maybe its the monitor difference.

i don't think you're seeing lack of sharpness, I think your seeing a shallow DOF.

look at the inner part of 4, its perfectly sharp and in focus, but since it was a windy day I had to keep my shutter faster than about 1/125

no sharpening was applied either, which would probably help.

details and texture of the flowers are lost in the saturation

2 is probably the best of the set IMO
3 is horrible, over saturated, too much brightness etc...IMO of course I can't help but feeling pain stabbing my eyes when I look at it:o

hmm, i'm on my macbook now, and I can see what you all are saying, they seem a bit more saturated on this screen than my desktop.

although the screen on my desktop is matte and calibrated, and this screen is glosy and uncalibrated, so i'm still sticking by my desktop :bigok:

    thanks!

They were a bouquet (sp?) I got for the wife for her b-day, so they were sitting on the kitchen table.

I just threw a sb600 in the frosted glass of the chandelier thingy above the table, and used the Nikon CLS system to fire the flash, diffusing it through the glass.

I can't wait til flowers actually start growing up this way. Stupid winter.
