I was on Capt America's side.
I believe that a superhero should only give his identity away if its his decision. A lot of the people on cap's side were respectable superhero's who hadnt done a thing to deserve this. All their families and friends would be put in danger because of it.

    does that work?

It does. the project in question by the way in a tabletop superhero game, called mutants and masterminds and i'm in the process of trying to orchestrate a civil war type situation, but i need good reason and good understanding of tony stark's decision ( i was on cap's side:o)

No, none of you guys strike me as conformist, I just figured because i find myself secretly rooting for the bad guy sometimes that someone would be unfourtunate enough to have wanted to side with the starkinator, i love the fact that people pelt him with trash and everyone hates him now, but i cant really form a character in my game that resembles him without knowing wtf he was thinking. it was a bad idea yes, but what good coul dhave come of it? was it a case of watching the watching watching some more watchmen? or was it some giant clusterfuck of stupid?

we had a couple guys here on tony's side, but it was like the rebels turning on the rebels. not so much for conformity's sake, but going against the grain. yeah, tony had the right ideas, but i believe the level of thinking was that most villians start out with good intentions.

You could technically say that all those superheroes were vigilantes and broke the law and were given the option to be recognized as a police officer. I think both sides were stupid although I was leaning towards Tony Stark.

Then why the hell did Spidey reveal his identity to the public?
I was on Cap's side too.
I guess the whole civil war issue is almost anti simaritan.

one could say that about regular police officers, or some district attorney who's hard pressed against crime.

i was really on caps side, but in reality i think tony was right.

people with super powers shouldn't go around blowing shit up without proper training, etc.

if someone ran around in a mask blowing bad guys up with a rocket launcher irl and fucked shit up theres no way i could support him, hes putting more people in danger than he's helping.

That's what got me puzzled. I think that actually never happened. Since Osborn is trying to know who Spidey is. :hsugh:

In all reality, if there were super heroes in real life, I would be with Tony.

But the kid inside me says Cap.

spiderman's a fag regardless, so who gives a shit what he did.

civil war is sorta-kinda like the next volume of Heroes.

They were both right but, they both went about things in the wrong manner. There was no option for compromise.

It was explained in an IronMan series that Tony decided to push for registration after he was compromised and used as a weapon to assassinate some people. He arrogantly decided that if it could happen to him, it could happen to anyone.

a Coworker of mine said that tony stark and lex luthor are very similar, except in marvel theres no one to call stark on his arrogant bullshit, wherease superman always does it to luthor.
