A couple of questions about Vista

    1. How do you get rid of the little "fade" when you minimize or close the window. When i close it, i want it disappear immediately instead of fading.

    2. Is there a defrag tool that actually shows the general picture of how bad my disk is fragmented? Also something that shows the progress like the XP one would be nice.

    Answer for question 1 is to turn the aero off.

    This is wrong.


    To turn off visual effects, go to Control Panel > System > Advanced System Settings > Performance Settings > Then you can change all the visual effects from there.

    hm. dunno about one, but i hate the defrag tool on vista, i prefer to see the disk shape rather than just 'please wait'

    yea along with a bunch of other visual features, OP only wanted to turn off 1 of them
