Chances are i will go with the G26, but is there anything else out there worth considering?

    G26

unless you want to go super small and give up some power and go with a Ruger LCP or Keltec P3AT but then again you specifically said 9mm so nevermind, G26 for sure

Accuracy is phenomenal and they'll conceal pretty much anywhere.

How do these compare to the usual glock, xd offerings? A friend of mine bought the compact version and says it's great.

Yea, I have the 9mm. Some of the older ones had an issue with the slide locking back but were fixed with a revised spring. Newer ones are mint though.

whenever i hear the name carl, i think of aqua teen hunger force's carl. I can't trust a man with that name...on a serious note i think im going with the G26 though...ill probably end up getting a G19 down the road and interchangeable mags are always a plus

is the g26 small enough to fit into the back pocket and not being ridiculously uncomfortable?

I'm happy with my XD9 Subcompact...but I'd definitely give the PX4 and PPS a chance if I had the option.

Top heavy, perhaps. Overall about the same weight. I think it's because of the mini-bull type barrel.

6.3oz heavier than a g26. Pretty significant difference IMO.

I can't access the manufacturers' websites from work, are there any significant differences in dimension between the XDSC and the G26? Hold the same number of rounds in the standard mag?

    Kahr CW9 or PM9

I carry the CW9 and love it. Match it with a crossbreed supertuck and you're golden

Yep, cuz the extra weight equal to a half a can of soda is worth risking my life to an inferior, cheaper, POS.

When that 6oz is a quarter of the total weight, it's quite substantial (a G26 weighs 20oz empty and 26oz loaded).

Last I checked, the PX4 storm and the G26 were about the same price ... $500. And since it's still a new kid on the block, I don't think the PX4 Storm can refer to anything as inferior... it's yet to prove it's reliability in anything. The unproven POS is likely in your hand.

I'm not a huge glock fan just due to the fact that i enjoy collecting good looking guns as i am weird and think they're like pieces of art.

    BUT

1 of my carry guns is a glock because they are very reliable and as far as what i want from a carry piece it's perfect, i don't care what it looks like for carry purposes just so it goes bang when i need it.

to call a glock an inferior cheap piece of shit is pretty ignorant

and do you even carry daily? cause every damn ounce counts imo
