i already own a ar15, but winter time and its sometimes a pain to find .223 and an indoor range, kinda of thinking of a 9mm, non hand gun deal. anybody use a Bushmaster Carbon 15 9mm Pistol or Bushmaster Carbon 15 9mm Carbine or Beretta Cx4 Storm in 9mm?

    any input thanks :)

    I own a Hi-Point 995 9mm Carbine with the ATI Stock.

Great gun, and a great price (175$).

I haven't had a single thing break on it. The first time I shot it, afterwards when I was cleaning it, I used Brake Cleaner like I use on my pistol. Well...it melted the paint that was in the reciever.

I called up HiPoint and explained what I'd done, and asked if I could get some new parts mailed to me and how much they would cost. They said to send it in.

I UPS'd it in for 5$. 2 weeks later I got back a brand new rifle with 2 magazines in the box to cover my shipping costs. They have a great unconditional lifetime warranty. You could literally drive this thing over with your truck, call them up, send it in, and 2 weeks later you have a brand new rifle at your doorstep.

Its a great inexpensive rifle. It has ghost ring sites, and is accurate out to about 100 yards within an inch or so when I scoped it. The 10 round mags are a bit tough to load the first few times you do it, but you get the hang of it eventually.

In the thousand or so rounds I've shot through it, I've yet to have a jam, misfire, non-fire, or anything like that.

The ATI Stock cost me 60$ and I put it in myself. The new stock feels alot more solid, and looks similar to a CX4 storm.

I haven't had a bit of trouble out of this thing besides when I used chlorinated brake cleaner on it, which was my own fault. They come highly recommended by anyone that has actually owned one. Don't listen to the tards that will say "OMG, they're so cheap they'll blow up!". I've had this thing apart, its built like a tank. Its not going to blow up.

I've got a hi point with that ATI stock, and while it's nice, I like my beretta cx4 storm a lot more.

I've barely shot the hi-point, I've put several hundred rounds through the storm, never had a hiccup.

I have 9mm Oly AR upper for cheap plinking. its been pretty reliable for me, mags are dirt cheap $5 for 32rd mags.

I hear good things about the beretta but I'd probably just get the hipoint over it, just as reliable and alot cheaper.

Well I have a keltec sub2000. The folding design and mags that interchange with your pistol make it pretty cool.

While it works fine it probably is my least favorite firearm. All the bulk of a rifle, all the power of a handgun. Woo.

I bought two of these mags and they jam on every round. They won't feed at all. I even replaced the plastic follower with a metal one from a factory Hi Point mag and it still jams. These are complete garbage.

    Review:
I had the same problem, and mine did not want to lock into place unless you forced it to the point that the pistol grip starts to split, then you could not cycle through the mag. without a jam. I put it side-by-side with a factory mag. and could notice the mouths(lips) were at slightly different angles. Very disappointed!

    Review:
I totally agree with the other reviews, save your money and by factory made mags. They work fine if you want a single shot. Drop the mag down before shooting and then working the bolt to put another round in the chamber. But, why buy this when a 10 rd mag works just fine. Good idea, poor performance.

    Review:
Both clips would not feed and chamber without jamming until only three or four cartridges were left in either clip. These name brand items are a BIG disappointment.

    Yeah, the promags suck.

Over on the hipoint forum, some kid is welding 72 round drums to the bottom of the mags, and selling them. Might want to look into it.
