I don't know what to get!

I'm looking at Baby Eagles. I've never shot one, but for some reason I just really like this gun.

At the local shop, they have one for $600. But they also have a used Sig p228 for the same price. I don't really want a compact, but Sig's are nice.

    Any advice?

They don't make 228s anymore. I'd get that over a baby eagle.

If you plan to carry in the future the compact sig will be a lot better.

I'd get the sig regardless personally.

Try 'em both and see what you like, I don't especially love the sigs, you might not be a sig sack rider either ;)

    Friend has a Sig 220 .45acp

It's ok, I didn't find it to be the spiritual experience it seems it should have
been....being a Sig and all. It certainly wasn't bad, but yeah, it went bang
and the rounds went where I pointed them.

People sackride Sigs because they spent so much on the gun they can't afford not to. :mamoru:

Like how P_T sackrides Wilson. :mamoru2:

I don't own a sig. He should get the Sig if he can afford it (and it's in good condition)

I don't think the price is that bad, especially if you find a good CPO or used deal. :dunno: They are good guns.

I'd get the Sig out of the two. But you'd be doing yourself an injustice if you limited yourself to just the two choices.

Friend got his for free after helping a friend run some wiring or something at
his house. It was used but in good condition.

It does fit my hand quite well, better than another friend's Glock21, then
again the Sig has a single stack mag.

Well what other choices should I look at?

I do not really have any requirements, other than I don't want a Ruger, and I've already had a Glock.

600 is too much for a used 228 imo. i've seen them on arfcom in the low 500s

I:love: my baby eagle. I bought it at gander mountain for $450 plus tax new, and even then the price was a little high compared to online prices. You can find em used on gun sites for $350-$400. They are damn good guns for the money. I now want a 9mm compact with the steel frame :o

Or you could get a Glock 17/19 and save a shitload of money + have a better gun.

Find a different shop. The used SIG should be less than $500. Same with the new Baby Eagle.

notrly, considering they're not making the 228 new anymore. plus, it depends on the round count
