  3. I woudn't get either, 9mm ARs suck and have even more malfunctions than a regular AR. M1a is your only choice sonny.

    LMAO LOLZZ

seriously. wtf are you talking about

  6. What am I talking about? Lets see here, first the 9mm AR has feeding issues, especially when using uzi mags, secondly there are severe issues with short cycling due to the low velocity rounds and the spring tensity in the buffer tube. When mixed with the normal malfunctions that ARs have, ie gas port, gas rings, dirty chambers, this definatly is not a reliable weapon. Don't get me started on 5.56 nato, I can go on all day about M4's and the like. Now I know that you must be some type of AR armorer or something considering you think Stoners varmint rifle is the end all weapon for battle situations, of course you are forgetting that it's let down the US military in every conflict it has ever been used in. So just sit back and keep laughing, the only people that think ARs are reliable are the ones that only use them at the range and give them a thorough cleaning before, during and after they go shooting. In war while someone is shooting at you, you don't really have time to fieldstrip your rifle, there are no time outs.

hmmmmmmmm thorough cleaning, I'm on trip #3 of dumping nothing but wolf through mine without a cleaning and runs perfect. no fialure to nothing. a 9mm AR is next on my list. you do have to replace the buffer to run right, some have feeding issues-some don't. it is a new breed so there are kinks to be worked out but hey for the cost of ammo and fun factor I'll give it a shot.

I've got a 9mm upper that uses Sten mags got it the end of this past summer, so far I've not shot it as much as I'de like to have, I've ran 2-300 rounds through it all wolf and silverbear, haven't had any issues with it, main reason I got it cheap to shoot and I figured it'de be funner for wintertime shooting at the indoor range since its only 30 yds. If you already have an AR its another fun upper to play with if you don't have an AR I'de go with 5.56 first, get 9mm down the road, definently wouldnt buy one of those 9mm only lowers though.
Oh yeah and I  my AK's more then my AR's.

Oh yeah actually so far 9mm been more reliable to me then 5.56, my first trip to the range after getting a 20" Bushy I had malfuction after malfuction, turned out to all be magazine and ammo related though.

first of all, buy an AV

the only problems with the rifle design, ended after vietnam. the only problem with ARs in war since then have been magazines and sand if left unclean. and as far as cartridge goes, go down range and ill pop you with the little 5.56 and then with the 7.62. ill let you tell me which one affected you more.

there must be SOME reason our gov't hasnt switched in 40 years

    7.62x39/51 >>>>>>>>> 5.56

The only reason why 5.56 is used IMO is weight. 5.56 also sucks ass out of short barrels.

    5.56 cant penetrate shit.

IMO we should of stuck with .308, I own a few AR's got nothing against them, 5.56 works great in some enviroments. Why we havnt switched in 40 years? Price government always goes the cheapest route, the AR is definently not the best 5.56 platform G36 and Sig55x are superior among others, but we'de never adopt a foriegn gun.

The 9mm conversion kit that Bushmaster sells is supposed to be very reliable.

  17. Trust me brother, you wouldn't even come close, i'd have you down at 800 meters before you could even see out of that little varmint rifle peep sight. The only reason this rifle is still in production is because of the supply of them and the cost to switch to a completely new weapon.

i wasnt saying you vs me dipshit. i was using that as an example of how both rounds kill effectively. the 308 is a MUCH better long range gun times 11tybillion. but for CQB, your going to be hard pressed to beat the 5.56 with proper shot placement.

this argument will go on forever. for the record, i dont give a fuck. i own an AR. im happy with its function and caliber. i dont give a fuck what you own, what youve heard, bla bla. its the fucking internet. im not going to argue with someone over the internet about a gun in combat when i ( and im assuming you also) have never been in war.

i just wanted to let you know i think your ignorance is gleaming.the 5.56 has done a good job when used the way it was intended

No. There would be no reason to pick up AKs then. The 5.56 cannot penetrate effectively. Need to shoot through trees? Ask guys in Vietnam what happened when they had to shoot through trees.

5.56 is only being used because its expensive to change and its lightweight.

  23. Well you know what they say about assumption there buddy.
