    hey guys

my friend has one of these trucks

5 spd, ka24 (same engine as a 240 i believe), but he wants to put a lift kit onto it.

the truck is not a 4x4, nor is it a v6.
since i have no knowledge when it comes to trucks, can someone tell me if lifting it / putting bigger tires on this truck would be a good idea? is it possible to diy since trucks use leaf springs?

if so what size / where the accessories can be bought.

    thanks

    eryk

From the looks of it he could just go right ahead and put bigger tires on it...

you'll probably have to lift it to fit decently good sized tires under it. 4wd hardbodies can fit 31's stock, i assume 4wd frontiers can do the same.. but that is 2wd.

You might be able to get 30x9.50x15's under the stock front end. I wouldn't count on decent suspension travel though.
Your buddy should lift it if he's gonna stuff bigger tires under it.
