    Dont know if there are many mini truckers in here but we'll see

    98 C1500 extended cab body dropped on 22" centerlines (after the frame is done)

    Hope to get the main frame rails all finished up and welded to the front clip by the end of the month. Then I need to get another bender to start the mounts and other odds n ends. Ill post more pics if people want :bigthumb:

    Well I got the rails tacked into the clip, then squared everything up.

    Double checked and made sure nothing moved then put some temporary cross members on it.....

    Main rails should be close to being done this weekend then comes the fun stuff!

    :( I still need a bender though......

    Well got the whole thing welded up today......

    Preped up the frame first

    Yeah I have to grind them down and plate all the butt joints, next build I found a place that mandrel bends 2x4 box tube so I will have two smooth frame rails rather then cutting them up like that....

    Got the front control arms done for the 22s. I had to take a little out of the frame so the front would lay out. Next is putting gussets in there and cleaning up the pockets so they look a little better.....

    also going to have to cut his cups down because the bags bottom out now with the control arms going so far up! Finally get to put the new (old) lathe to work!

    Update soon, got side tracked building the office and haven't messed with it but christmas day I should be setting up the 4 link and getting it closer to a rolling chassis

    yeah, pretty much any production frame is mig'ed. There are a few companies that make aftermarket frames for hotrods that are tig'ed but a good mig welded frame will do just fine.
