Is it the 3.8L engine in there?

I've had two Buicks, a '95 Regal Custom and a '03 Regel LS. The former had the 3.1L and the latter had the 3.8L. From what I've read, both engines are very stout, but the 3.8 is bulletproof. I've heard of people getting the odometer deep into the 200,000s with the 3.8 w/o much of a problem.

The only problem that I ever hd with them is the '95 had a paint issue. It just started falling off. Apparently it was a recall that the original owner never bothered to get fixed. I think the recall was from '94-'97, but you might want to check that out.

I had the same model LeSabre and had no issues with it. I purchased it at 67,000 miles and later gave it away to my brother-in-law at 264,000 miles and still going strong. Flawless car.

that is one of GM's most reliable, albeit ugly, body lines. My g/f just got rid of her 93 Bonneville with 227k on the clock. she did 2 engines and 3 trannies in the car, but her dad kept buying salvage instead of good rebuilds. had they gone about things the right way, she wouldn't have had to do so much.
