I'm sitting at work reading comics, because I can, and I've got to say...

As much as I liked Civil War, Secret Invasion and Dark Reign,
Nothing compares to 90's Marvel comics.

I just downloaded everything that has Venom and Carnage in it, and it's all really good stuff.

I think my all-time favorite comic panel has to be:

Spidey and Venom's temporary truce, made to bring down Carnage.

I'd like to somewhat disagree. There's a great deal of fantastic stories being told, specially on the cosmic level, but the 90's stuff were brilliant.
However, though the writing may not be as brilliant these days, the stories are more epic and deal with a greater range of characters and plots.

On another note, i do love the 90's art more than todays, even though it's a shit load of great artists abound. My greatest favourite has to be the 90's Spiderman, loved that

maybe i've evolved from hero to indy comics. I can't get enough of Vertigo, and in the 90's DC was my school drug.
yes. I (cry) when superman died

You can find action in all issues of crossover events in the 90s. Not unlike now that you can only see less than 10 panels of action in a 6 issue crossover.

Didn't they make Iron Man evil and replace him with a younger earlier version of himself? And then have Onslaught kill off everyone who wasn't in an X Book?

That almost makes Brand New Day make sense.
