I recently bought a 90 cherokee laredo. Its a real beater but it's still got a good bit of life in it (and hey it was $550 bucks) On it's second engine, new water pump, alternator, starter, all kinds of other new parts, custom shocks, 6CD changer... Anyway about 2 days ago the speedometer just stopped working (stays at 0) and the odometer and tripometer aren't moving either. The fuel gauge was stuck all the way up but that seems to be working now. The oil pressure gauge hasn't ever worked right (which I don't really care about anyway) I checked my fuses and none of them looked cooked (switched a couple around just to be sure) so I don't think it's a fuse. Maybe it's a short in the wiring somewhere? Any idea's on what I should do here?

the plastic speedo gear on the transfer case might be destroyed, pull it out and check
