    What do you think?

9 takes place in a world parallel to our own, in which the very legacy of humanity is threatened. A group of sapient rag dolls, living a post-apocalyptic existence find one of their own, 9 (Elijah Wood), who displays leadership qualities that may help them to survive.

The conflicted, but resilient group includes 1 (Christopher Plummer), a domineering war veteran; 2 (Martin Landau), an aged inventor; 5 (John C. Reilly), a stalwart mechanic; 6 (Crispin Glover), a visionary and artist; and 7 (Jennifer Connelly), a brave warrior.

There are at least several malevolent creatures up against this group; namely, the cat-skulled creature from the short film, a split-headed flying being that resembles both a bat and a manta ray in wing shape, and an insectoid creature with jointed legs and a pod-like body.

It is being produced by Timur Bekmambetov, the director of Russian hits :bowdown:Nightwatch and Daywatch. I think it will be interesting to say the least.

Bummer on the flat storyline and zero character development.

I'll most likely still go see it,... a week after the release.

Don't waste your time for real. I was really excited for it as well. Went to see it today after work and was really disappointed.

IT was extremely flat and had no character development however they did manage to include the usual suspects of an action movie (Giant Tank, weird nerdy twins, action badass lady, protagonist pussy, etc) Not worth a movie ticket in my opinion at all.

They took what could have been a 10 minute short and dragged it out for 1.5 hours

i don't know that I'd be this harsh, but I came out feeling a little underwhelmed. the whole ending doesn't really make sense to me, it seemed way too abrupt and didn't tie things up nicely imo. the imagery was decent, but overall, I'd give the movie a B--.

i liked it. :dunno: it was short enough that there weren't any parts that dragged on very long, and it was really pretty to see.

then again, i was pretty blazed when i saw it, but that's common practice for me with animated movies. :o

Just got back from seeing it. I thought it was awesome. Pacing was good, story wasn't in your face with details but more subtle & felt more of a framing device for the events going on in the movie. I enjoyed it a lot.... LittleBigPlanet The Movie :mamoru:

the movie was kind of a let down, enjoyable but a let down.
the best part of the movie was looking at the detail put into the background. all the little pieces that made up the world for those little sack people
