I don't want to kill myself before the meet and I know nothing about training before-hand. I was gonna go pretty heavy on squats and deads today, but how should my week look Sunday, Monday-Thursday?

Also, I'm not too worried about making weight, I'm usually around 168-170 @ 8PM after working out and drinking a shit-ton of water, but weigh-ins are Friday morning..tips?

Personally, I take a full 7-9 days off before the meet. Other people go in and do the main movements for a few sets with 135. Other people just go in and pull the sled and do some blood work and stretch. Whatever you do, do not go heavy and no messages from 7 days out, no cardio from 3-4 days out.

My concern is that I do not know if my form is good enough to count..maybe I'll take that 135 route starting Sunday..

I like to work up to my openers 2 weeks before the meet, then do some real light recovery work the sunday before the meet and then take the rest of the week to get bloated as fuck.

That's true, but I feel like I can correct some little mistakes.

What's the ruling on knee/elbow wraps? My right knee has been bothering me, along with both my elbows.

You can wear 2.5m knee wraps as long as they don't touch your suit/singlet or socks and elbow sleeves are fine on the squat as long as they don't touch yoru sleeves of your shirt.

You can not wear elbow sleeves/wraps on the bench press but wrist wraps are fine.

On the deadlift you can wear elbow sleeves, wrist wraps and knee wraps if you really want to.

ive always done much better with keeping active. going into the gym and doing some light stuff, a little cardio, go through the movements with tiny weight, etc.

if i dont, i get SUPER stiff and its awful.

wow, i'm just going to pretend i didn't go to the gym today. it fucking sucked.

Thought I was going to hit 510 so I was just keeping things nice and easy/quick.

    135x5
    225x3
    315x1
    405x1
    455x1 (felt hard)
510x0 (barely left the ground, maybe 1" at best)

Hams, glutes, nothing. Knees now hurt, fuck.

I did squat, even though I probably shouldn't have, but knees were doing aiight then..
    135x5
    225x5
    275x5
    295x5

Fuck. I'm just not touching weights until the comp I guess. Need to keep track of my weight so that I don't put on too much so some cardio and that's about it..
