    I would get a Mercedes W124 chassis, either 300E or E320.

EDIT: you'll need more than 10k but atleast you can afford to finance it and have it imported.

Hmm... in that price range, these euro's fall in.

    Audi A4/A6
    BMW 328i/325i/528i

I'm too lazy to look for more. I think a great car would be a Lexus ES300.

if you're gonna put down that cash, don't get an audi or bmw -- just a maintenance nightmere. Stick with something like Nissan or Toyota for reliability. I'd be partial to a yota pickup, but dunno if you can find anything good for that price.

Try a Mitsu. the Diamante is a fairly classy car (used to own one)...and it ran for over 200K with basic maitnence, Ive been told the newer 3.5L 6 is even better in reliablity. Or go with a used Nissan Maxima, comfly and powerful....might be a challenge to find one thats not been ragged on. I think the concenus would be a euro in that range would be a lemon used....Although a VW should hold up well (dont know much about them) If you could find a late 90's Passat with either the 1.8T (easy to hop up) or the VR6 motor...and leather you'd have a classier euro???
