After being introduced to and then owning a '88 NA supra for a year, I came into the money to do a 1JZ swap, and I just stumbled upon what seemed to be the PERFECT donor car for the motor.

Anyways, lots of money and 5 months of work later (I work fulltime as it is), and it runs AWSOME, and has for the last 500 miles or so. It aint that pretty, but it's fast and fun!

    These are my progress pics.

Pic in the local Photoad of car for sale:

About 3 months later, finally pulled the motor, tinkered with it forever waiting for the big $$$ to come my way for the 1JZ:

About 4 months after purchase: Motor arrived from JHot, I waited for it for 6 weeks with cash in hand, while it was boxed up and shipped from Japan to Geogia, then to me: Day before it was shipped I was told their was a Bonus, bolted on was a 3Inch Trust DP :eek3:

5th month or just about, motor in and bolted up, along with Turbo trans and Turbo DS: Fuel leak lead to Having to get car outa garage, so towed to work it was, where I finished it up in 2 weekends:

And, the newest pics I have, after about 300 miles on the car:

Nice clean car man. :bigthumb: I take it you did the swap yourself?
I had an 88 supra too but it fell victim to the usual blown head gasket:wtc:

Yep, all by myself. I dont seem to have any friends interestead in cars, so, pretty much just me.

And ya, my Black '88 NA blew the gasket about 2 weeks after buying this Rod Knocking red '88 NA. But I stuck with the project, and sold the black one, and went without a car for 5 months
