I have an older 870 wingmaster that my dad gave me. I want to inspect and clean it thoroughly. I have the barrel removed. What else can I do without tools?

pull the action out (so it is closed). put your finger in where you load the tube and there are little metal strips that hold the action on. Press one and it will slide out a little then press the other and pull it out the rest of the way

Sure. I have a Winchester 1300 and I know the 870 is basically its twin. I have the exploded drawing for mine so I figured there had to be one for the Remington.
