Well, due to shipping complications, this gun is going together a lot less rapid than I would have liked for it to.

So far, Botach Tactical has apparently lost my package which partly consisted of a GG&G front side sling mount for the 870.

Then, CQB Solutions has the rear GG&G single point side sling attachment on back order along with my sling and new 6-shell holder that mounts on the buttstock.

Lastly, I have searched near and far locally but couldn't find a TacStar sidesaddle. So, I am going to place an order with Brownells for a Wilson sidesaddle and a set of Trak Lock ghost ring sights.

Anyway, here she lies as she waits...

Very nice, that is the hotness. I can't wait to see what it looks like when you are done with it. Are you going to put some ghost ring sights on it?

LOL, that is the Speedfeed Tactical IV-s -- "s" is for short. It is actually 1/4" shorter than the factory stock and, as far as I know, the shortest available.

Keith, if you'll notice in my post above, I noted I was getting Wilson Combat Trak Lock ghost rings.

It's a beautiful gun no doubt about it, so I'm not sure if this would make it look better or worse, but what about a tactical forend grip? I see you have the rear one already, I was just wondering if you were going to do them both or keep it the way it is.

I have never used botach but many people over on Glock Talk have horror stories about them, so I will most likely stay away from them.

If you only knew what I was going through right now...

Cut and pasted from Glock Talk --

Okay, so I placed an order for a few items on the 6th and had it sent to me via UPS 2nd Day Air. Well, guess what, I shoulda had the package yesterday, but no arrival!

On the UPS tracking page, it says:

    Status: In Transit
    Scheduled Delivery: Jan 8, 2004
    Shipped to: CAMDEN, SC, US
Shipped or Billed on: Jan 6, 2004

    Package Info (or lack thereof)
    Jan 6, 2004
7:25 P.M. US BILLING INFORMATION RECEIVED
6:52 P.M. LOS ANGELES, CA, US ORIGIN SCAN

So, I contact UPS via e-mail and they tell me to contact Botach; I contact Botach and they tell me the package was supposed to be there yesterday -- no crap?

Anyhow, they are supposed to be contacting UPS to see what is going on.

I've had good luck with Botach twice in the past, but I guess it was too good to be true. I want my freakin' package and I want it yesterday!

No surprise with Botach. Story is the same everywhere. i swear, they keep track of customers. Everybody's first and sometimes secord order, the service is blazing fast. After that, you're lucky if they serve you at all.

My last dealing with them was a pair of goggles. After three monthes of ignoring my emails and phone calls, i finally got someone on the phone, who, in broken English, managed to convey that the goggles were backordered.

It's like they have a bias against repeat customers.

On the lighter side of things, your scattergun rig is going to be the heat once it's together.

Theres Cabelas they make some good quality from what I've seen, however I have never purchased any firearm accessories from them, so don't take my word for it. Cabelas is also the company that makes the .50BMG conversion kit for an AR-15 which I found interesting:

Cabelas does not "make" any shotgun stuff; all the stuff in that link was TacStar.

As far as ordering with Cabelas goes, they are top notch -- they gotta be when dealing with the volume that they do.

I got my Surefire foregrip from them and it was the cheapest I could find anywhere on the web (without buying 10 lights). It shipped promptly and was packaged well.

Cabelas is awsome. I have ordered from them lots of times. You will never get hosed by them. They are all over the place.
