I love the 85 1.2, but can't justify the price.
I mean, how often do people really shoot at 1.2 and need that much speed?
1.2 on a FF is where the eyes are in focus, but the noise and ear are blurred.

Granted, I'm just saying this to make myself better for not buying this.

Jcol - do you think I should pick up a 35mm 1.4 for some upcoming weddings?

When I owned the 35L and 85L at the same time, I used the 35 about 75% of the time, it was just a perfect FL. Both are super awesome and are perfect for each other

Are you on a FF or crop body?

That was when I was on a crop body. Either way, I think 35 is a great FL for both crop or ff

No. Because if you do, it will never leave your camera and your other lenses will fly into a jealous rage.

The 35L is my favorite lens. My shooting style during the wedding prep is to have a 35 on one body and an 85 on the other.
