instead of paying $337 to get it fixed through apple, i'm going to replace the HD myself. what type of HD do i need to get. can i get something bigger than the 30gb that it comes with? also if anyone has access to a service manual or some basic instructions on how to do so. thanks.

Getting the drive is easy... replacing it, isnt. :(

Last iBook I took apart was a 15" TiBook and I never did get all the screws back in :hsugh:.

i've heard that it is REDICULOUSLY hard to open up and dissassemble an iBook. I looked into a while ago, and after reading multiple picture tutorials, it sounded so damn scary i decided against it.
