My weird strut brace with included camber plates. We realigned the camber by refering to the original plate marks when wwe reinstalled the brace.

    It idled perfectly right away.

One issue that maybe someone can help me with.
I took if for a spin after the install and after a short burst of throttle I came to a stop and found a fluid causing smoke on the driver side header. There's quite a bit of fluid. I don't think it's the head gasket because I still have full power, and the fluid seems to spray out only at WOT. I think it might be oil, the smoke is white. I just had an oil change earlier but this was not happening.
    I can't see where it's coming from.

The car's still hot so reading the oil level doesn't help.

Jiffy Lube mentioned that I should change my tranny gaskets, but there's fluid on the oil filter, a couple spark plugs, a lot on the steering shaft.

Most of it seems to be right under the tranny so I thought it was the new PCV valve that we put on during the install, but it seems to be on ok.

I discovered that the ppl who did my oil yesterday put too much in. The oil was coming out of the top of the dipstick and the wind was throwing it around. I drained a ~.75L and it's not happening anymore.

  14. so i assume that this was to fix the problems it was having and get it to run alot better? you should be able to run more boost now also, right?

after I drained some oil its stopped, so I hope that was it.

The smoke was white though. maybe it was my tires. :winkwink:

I'm not going to run over 7lbs of boost.

If it was the head gasket i would have noticably less power I think.

It has run hot since I've had it.

    195-220 all the time.

I think the main seal (tranny and engine come together here) is leaking.

    That's $350 to fix.

Hopefully it's just excess oil from the overfill still coming down.

Me thinks you need to find someone new to change your oil. Sounds liek they drained the back plug, left the front one (w/ 1 quart of oil in there), and just dumped in 5 quarts -- never checked it. :squint:
