I have a budget of around $700-735 to spend on a car head unit. The car that I drive now is a '95 Honda Accord, and I'm in need of a good head unit. This summer, I'm going to purchase a 2005 Lexus IS300. So basically I want the flexibility of moving the unit from one car to the next. Can anyone recommend one to me?

what do you want it to be able to do? I mean, I'd personally go pick up a Nakamichi MB-VI, but then you cant do MP3 CD's, its plain looking (which I actually like), and likely missing some of the gimmicks others might like. :dunno:

Ok. The new Eclipse 8455, the Eclipse CD8053 or CD8061, McIntosh MX406, Nak CD500 or CD700II (well, a little out of the price range I guess), Rockford Platinum 1000 or Denon Rf8250 (I think thats the model number, and I think it's basically the same unit as the Rockford. That should get you started. Also check out the Alpine F1 series if you want to up your budget.

What speakers, amps, etc. are you going to be attaching this to?
