    There is an unissued, unfired Zastava SKS locally that is calling my name.

    Is lead-core surplus ammo readily available/inexpensive in for x39?

    You'll be hard pressed to find any inexpensive 7.62x39 :hs:

    I havn't seen very much surplus. There is a litte bit at local shops around here but it costs more than new production Wolf. $150 per 1000rnds of Wolf is an average price.

    I figured it would be available so cheaply because its such a ubiquitous caliber all over the world :hs:

    It used to be almost half that price a couple years ago.
