One of my 6x9's has gone bad in my car, so I need new ones. Looking for something that can give me some bass and will be clear. I don't know if I should go 2 or 3 way. Looking to spend ~$100.

I have an Eclipse CD5442. I believe its 50x4. I was suggested those speakers by another person also. I'll go with those then. Thanks.

Another question, if I go with something that has a lower frequency response, will I get better bass?

No, most of the specifications listed by manufacturers are meaningless. Just go with the Infinities that Nailbomb reccomended and I bet you will be happy.

It's going into a Volvo 94 944t. I went to American today and looked at some stuff they had. I looked around and I am liking these Polk Audio DB690 6x9's(Link Here) and I figured I go ahead and replace the front 5 1/4's with some Alpine SPS130A (Link Here)
Now, the front 5.25"'s should be an easy replace, but I cannot figure out how to take out the rear deck 6x9's. Anyone have experience taking the rear deck speakers off in a Volvo 944? Is it similar to a 744? Any help would be greatly appriciated. BTW, I've heard both speakers in person and I am pleased. If anyone has any opinions on the two, please give that aswell.

I just copied this post I made on some Volvo board's so I don't expect any Volvo knowledge to be around here, but if someone does know, please speak up!

I would reccomend looking online for Alpine or Infinity or Premier, they all are very good speakers and there are a few online dealers that are fairly cheap

I have used kicker impluse speakers numerous times and have been very pleased with them.
