Isn't there a 128 and 256 version of the 6600gt, which one are you referring to?

I wouldn't say the 6800 is superior to the 6600GT. It does edge it out in benchmarks.
The difference is about like going from a 900MHz CPU to a 1GHz CPU, there is some performance increase but not a lot, depends on which benchmark you look at.

The thing that makes the 6800 edge out the 6600GT is the buswidth (256-bit compared to 128-bit) and the Pipes (12 vs 8). Other wise the 6800 is slower in clock speeds compared to the 6600GT.

If you want to see some benchmarks check out this Tom's Hardware AGP round up review http://graphics.tomshardware.com/graphic/20050705/index.html

A lot of the time you can unlock pipes on a 6800, which gives quite a bit of performance.

I love my 6800nu, best bang for the buck AGP card out there.
