Try to find a SV, you will be a little big on it...but you'll get that on any bike. The SV will give you a good starting point, and you'll be able to sell it quite easily if you would like to upgrade in a year or so.

-This one looks amazing IMO, LINK
    -Another good example, LINK

What style of bike are you looking for? Cruiser, Sport, Touring, etc.

IMO cruisers suit taller riders, but most anything can be made to accomodate.

SV is good starter as was said earlier, other possible choices you might find comfortable and around your price range, old VFR's, old CBR1000's NOT the RR, katana750.

is 750cc too much for a beginner?
i am an unusually coordinated guy for being 6'7 if that means anything :dunno:

why does the katana750 have 150 more cc's than the GSX-R600 and costs 2,000 less?

i'm having troubles figuring out what is too much power for a first bike...ahhh confusing

The katana750 makes a bit less power then most modern 600cc sportbikes, the katana750 is more of a sport tourer then a sportbike, same can be said of the old cbr1000's from the early/mid 90's even though they were 1000cc times have changed modern 600cc sportbikes make more power now a days.

my knees and upper leg ride higher than the indent in the tank that youre supposed to hug with your legs, but my knees dont get in the way of my arms at all under any circumstances
