Sarco is importing 660 metric tons of 7.62x39 :eek3: I really doubt the price will be going down but I guess I can be grateful that there is any at all in the country. I remember last year when everyone was out of stock and nobody knew when or if the next shipment was coming. (Math stolen from a guy on another forum:)

660 Metric tons =1,452,000Lbs of ammo

20 round box weighs 10 Oz. each.

Thats 2, 323,200 boxes of ammo or...

    46,464,000 rounds of 7.62x39

I'm hoping for some surplus ammo, it might bring the prices down a little.

I have doubts about seeing milsurp x39 again, I think most of the euro surplus x39 is long gone, Russian stuff may pop up again but I wouldn't count on it they only use x39 in specialized roles now a days. I think all that leaves is china and were not allowed to have there ammo, just there lead tainted toys.

Yeah, you're probably right. I can't imagine this big of a stash just being uncovered now either.

There's tons and tons and tons in africa... The UNs been buying it up and blowing it up to help stabilize the continent. Maybe they spared some?

Damn, now I need to buy an AK.

It would take an SKS forever to shoot through that much ammo.

Sarco? They aren't known as an ammunition seller. Could it be Samco?

Yeah, that's the same price for new Wolf non-corrosive. They are making a big deal out of the brass cases, like berdan primers are easy to get here or something.

I'm guessing Century will get a hold of a fair amount of this ammo. Hopefully their prices will be a little cheaper.

For now, Cabela's has Wolf MC for $189 and a free storage box with free shipping. (Link)
