Old ass man strength
"Bob Gaynor, 198, deadlifted 640 pounds at last weekend's APF Masters Nationals held in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Gaynor is 61 years of age and has been competing in powerlifting events since the origins of powerlifting in the 1960's. The lift was good for an M5 APF American Record and WPC World Record, breaking the mark set in 1986 by Larry McCauley of 639 pounds. It also ranks him 16th on the Powerlifting Watch Lifter Rankings. Gaynor totalled 1,538 pounds, registering a 513 pound squat and 385 pound bench press."
some young kid is gonna get in that mans face one day thinking hes just an old man and hes gonna get the shit kicked out of him lol
You're fucking me right?
WOW. Really unbelievable
I remember reading somewhere too about his injuries and all of that...makes it pretty funny to hear people half his age cry about injuries and refuse to deadlift, and this guy is 61 and outpulling a good deal of present day PLers
if you can find his injury list post it
there was a vid of one of his other pulls a while back on plwatch...someone in the comments talked about it there
I love seeing shit like that.
where are all the "you're gonna destroy your back" and "you like your knees brah?" people
is that maxx or pur?
damn you beat me to it!
nice pull maxx... wow
I was thinking a couple days ago about what type of strength one can maintain in their 50's and 60's.
Fuckin' awesome lift!
I hope I'm half that strong at that age! Fuck I wish I was that strong at my current age!!
